Story Telling Secrets of Conversational Hypnosis
In persuasion and influence there are two basic approaches to influencing people.
A. You can Push or “Persuade” Them by consistently using techniques that “amplify” the persuasion message
B. You can utilize techniques that systematically “reduce” or eliminate the resistance a person my have to your persuasion message.
Today’s video post covers the concept of “resistance removal” aka. ” Omega Strategies” and specifically the Omega strategy known as narrative persuasion or story telling. Scientists and persuasion researchers have discovered six key characteristics that when built into your stories can dramatically influence your stories ability to lower resistance to your persuasion message. They also created a “check list” to use for surveying and pre-testing the persuasion and resistance lowering impact to your persuasion message.
